ABOUT JOHN

jujuB-0084.jpeg

John Muns' strong love for Plano began when he was a boy, back when Plano was a sleepy community of just 20,000. One of his fondest memories is playing football in front of nearly 50,000 people in 1977 when the Plano Wildcats won the State Championship.

John and his wife, Joa, met in college. They married and made Plano their home because they both believed Plano was the best place to raise a family. John and Joa raised their family here. They have four wonderful children, Jenna, Whitney, Jordan, and Tanner, and seven grandchildren. All of their children and grandchildren live in Plano and have or are attending Plano ISD. The Muns family are members of Prestoncrest Church of Christ.

John and Joa have built multiple successful businesses including Wyatt’s Cafeteria and now Muns Enterprises. John is proud to have created thousands of good-paying Plano jobs and will work to build a strong economy as our next mayor.

Plano has grown a lot over the years, but in every role as a public servant, John has made it his mission to allow others to enjoy the close-knit, friendly, neighborhoods-first city John grew up in.

As our next Mayor, John Muns will help plot a course for Plano that honors the our past while preparing us for the future.  Muns is the best choice to provide tax relief, address congestion, fight crime, and protect our neighborhood fabric that continues to make Plano an award-winning city.
